Koh Bulone Le, the Queen of All Bulone Islands |
Location: Moo 3, Tambon Pak Nam, Amphoe La-Ngu, around 22 kilometers from Pak Bara Pier.
Koh Bulone Le is a small and peaceful island under the administration of Mu Koh Petra National Park. It is also the center of the Mu Koh Bulone or Bulone Group Island. There is a local community and a school in the middle of the island, and while along the beach are some resorts and bungalows.
The charm of this island is the peacefulness and beautiful nature. There is no road for vehicles on this island, only a walking path that cuts and links the beaches in the front and the back, and the local community in the middle together.
Strangely, unlike Koh Tarutao or Mu Koh Adang-Rawi, most of the visitors of Koh Bulone Le are foreigners. They often choose to spend the night at this island and visit the nearby islands during the day (either half a day or one full day).
The favorite islands around Koh Bulone Le are Koh Bulone Don, Koh Bulone Le are Koh Bulone Don, Koh Bulone Mai Pai, Koh Rang, and Koh Hin Khao.
Koh Bulone Le is approximately 20 minutes away from Koh Bulone Le. This smaller island has a village and a beautiful v-shape sandy beach in the east that is perfect for watching sunrise.
Koh Bulone Mai Pai is located just around 20 minutes futher from Koh Bulone Le. This island is the location of the national park ranger unit, and generally speaking it is not for tourist residency. However, tourists could visit this islet during the day or, which the permission form the national park, stay at this island in the camp for a day or two.
The eastern beach of Koh Bulone Mai Pai is the longest beach of the island. On the top of the hill there is a sala for watching scenery of the western and the eastern beaches.
Ao Pankga or Pankga Bay is located in the west around 15 minutes walk from Haad Na Koh, it is a long stony beach with crystal clear sea suitable for a swim. Moreover, it is also a wonderful spot to watch sunset. |
