Attractions for Wonderful Chanthaburi Beaches |
Khung Wiman Beach, Khung Krabain Bay, Laem Sadet Beach and Chao Lao Beach.
Location: Khung Wiman Beach is located in Sanam Chai Sub District, Nayai Am District while Khung Krabain Bay. Laem Sadet Beach and Chao Lao Beach are in Khlong Kood Sub District, Thamai District. Despite located at different districts, the beaches are rested on the same beach line.
How to get there:
Drive along Sukhumvit Road till reaching kilometer marker 302 at Nong Si Nga Crossroad. Turn right to Highway 3300 which is the same road to Khung Krabain Bay, about 20 kilometers. At the crossroad, turn left to Khung Krabain Bay and forward about 3 kilometers to Khung Wiman Bay.
Khung Wiman Beach:
It is a very beautiful beach with outstanding feature is the beach road curving up and down the hill along the shoreline without any trees to obstruct the superb scenery. It is known as one of Thailand’s most beautiful beach roads used to be the scene of many advertisement movies. The beach has brown sand alternating with ranges of rocks offering some area for swimming. It is shaded with pine trees, and good for relaxing.
Khung Krabain Bay:
After admiring the scenery from the most wonderful beach road, you will reach Khung Krabain Bay, which is the highlight of Chanthaburi, of Ray shape.(Ray means Krabain in Thai). It is the site of Khung Krabain Study and Development Center under royal patronage in order to develop this area by using modern knowledge and technology. It takes at least half a day to explore the area thoroughly including seeing mangrove forests reached by 850-meter long wooden bridge. Along the ways are information signs to inform tourists.
Laem Sadet Beach:
Located opposite Khung Krabain Mangrove Forest. Laem Sadet has light-cream sand of 3 kilometers shaded by pine trees and fine swimming area in the colorful sea. Laem Sadet is so-to-say the most fantastic beach of Chanthaburi.
Chao Lao Beach:
Located east of Khung Krabain Bay, the owner of brown sandy beach bounded at Khung Krabain Wildlife Sanctuary. The sea has beautiful color and offers good area of swimming. It is the favorite relaxing place for Chanthaburi people during their holidays. Ranges of shallow water coral reef are found at this area parallel the coastline.
Some interesting places nearby to be visited are Laem Sing Beach with the dolphin show at Oasis Sea World, old French Buildings built after the Indochina Conflict in 1884 such as Khuk Khi Kai Jail and Red Building, the armies headquarters.
Chanthaburi Coastline is a fine place to touch the quietness and privacy at the sea, to acknowledge useful information and watch the wonderful scenery at the most beautiful beach road of Thailand.
