Though the beach line is as long as 22 kilometers, the most recognized one by both local and overseas tourists is Thung Wua Laen Beach. It can be referred to as the center for sea trips. Popular as it is but the setting is not busy because of its length and width.
Thung Wau Laen possesses a light brown and clean sandy beach, which gradually steps down to the sea good for swim. At weekends, the locals of Chumphon like to take their families for a picnic and enjoy a swim here. This is a province of health people as there is such a good place for relaxation.
The beach stretches about 2 kilometers long bordered by Khao Pho Bae in the south. Its beauty is also in the daily sunrise. Staying in a resort on this beach and walking up a bit earlier no need to walk further to anywhere else ones can admire the beauty when the sun rises up above the surface of the vast sea.
And in the evening, admiring the sea view from here restaurant, ones can see the fisherman boats for squids glowing with lights scattering all over as if there were parties amidst the sea.At low tides, a vast beach line appears ideal for beach sports.
For the nearby sights, when coming to this beach, ones may go for a dive at Koh Ngam yai and Koh Ngam Noi. These tow islands are places for bird net concessions. They have not beaches but are Chumphon’s best diving spots, both skin and scuba. Going there in the morning and back in the afternoon is not too tired, as Koh Ngam is only 13 kilometers away from Thung Wua Laen Beach.
