Though differently called Nang Thong, Khuk Khak, and Bang Niang are the same beach with clean sand, shady with pine trees. Some parts are of beachfront forest in alternation with sea morning glory plantations.
The beach line stretches for tens kilometers partitioned by canals, which run to the sea, or by rocks and capes. Each is conveniently access by the names of the villages around that area.

Khao Lak Beach is composed of a vast fine and sandy beach good for a swim. The beach curves long to the north towards the hill, overlooking the Phang Nga Navy Base. To the south is peaceful, shady with sea pines with not-so-long beach providing a private setting.
