Around Koh Li Di
Ao Lamphu: Ao Lamphu or Ao Pad is in the north of the island. The sandy beach is approximately 30 meters long. Toward the north is an abundant mangrove forest that nourishes a great number of sea animals.
No wonder this is one of the most fascinating diving spots of the area. Toward the northwest of the island is a natural stony road around 570 meters long stretching to Laem Wa Hin.
Laem Wa Hin view spot: Laem Wa Hin view spot is in the west of the island approximately 400 meters away. It is one of the best spots to watch sunset scenery as well as Koh Tarutao and other islands.
Ao Maprao: Ao Maprao is in the southwest of the island. It is a 250 meters long sandy bay. At the end of this bay is a stony beach from which you can get impressive sunset scenery.
The Nearby Attraction of Koh Li Di
Seaman Village at Ban Hua Hin: Ban Hua Hin is situated around 8 kilometers away from Mu Koh Phetra National Park Headquarters at Ao Nun. Tourists could visit the place to see traditional style of fishing, seaman’s lifestyle, and shop for fresh seafood from the local’s fishing boats.
The Nature Trail at Ao Nun: Around the national park headquarters at Ao Nun, there is a short nature trail approximately 400 to 500 meters long. The most interesting animal of this region is the rare spectacled Southern Langur.
The Best Time to Visit Koh Li Di: All Year
Accommodations:
There are bungalows, tent sites, and restaurant of the national park at Koh Li Di. Visitors could either pitch a tent on the island, or spend the night at Mu Koh Phetra National Park headquarters (Ao Nun) and come to visit the island within one day.
Caution:
Please note that although Koh Li Di is suitable for traveling all year, in low season (From April to October), the restaurants on the island might be close. So we recommend that you bring your won foodstuff and contact the national park in advance.
Moreover, since there are troops of monkeys on the island, make sure to pack and keep your belongings in the tent while staying on the island, or they might be lost or stolen by these monkeys. |
