There is actually nothing much, at least nothing active, to do at Koh Bu Bu. Here, visitors usually enjoy activities like swimming, strolling along the beach, reading, sunbathing, or hiking around the island.

Interesting islands near Koh Bu Bu are Koh Po, Koh Lanta, Koh Nui, Koh Kam, and Koh Talabeng. So at least if you have had enough of sunbathing and books at Koh Bu Bu, it could very interesting to visit Koh Talabeng for a kayak trip or Koh Po for a tour to islander villages.
Most tourists choose to stay at Koh Lanta, which has much more choices of accommodations and facilities. Koh Lanta could be divided into 2 zones; the west or the back of the island is an entertainment zone with rows of bungalows and restaurants, whereas the east of the island is the old town where many old buildings and cultural attractions are located.
Koh Lanta is a very old district with a sea community that exists for more than 100 years. This district includes three large islands called Koh Lanta Noi, Koh Klang and Koh Lanta Yai, and other minor 49 islands. Koh Lanta Yai is the largest island and is the center of traveling. It has many interesting attractions as following.
Laem Kho Kwang: Laem Kho Kwang is the tip of the cape where you can see vey beautiful scenery. Near the cape is Haad Kho Kwang, a very wide sandy beach suitable for beach sports.
Haad Phra Ae: Haad Phra Ae or Long Beach is a peaceful beach around 2 kilometers long. The brown sandy beach is straight, but at some part the water is quite deep. In the evening the beautiful sunset could be see from the beach.
Haad Khlong Khong: Haad Khlong Khong is a 2 kilometers long beach that has very quiet and private atmosphere.
Haad Khlong Nin: Haad Khlong Nin is a peaceful beach about 800 meters long. The outstanding feature of the place is the screw pine (genus Pandanus) that grows in rows along the beach.
Ao Ba Kan Tiang: The curved bay of semicircle shape stretches 800 meters long. This peaceful beach is of brown-grained sand, which also offers strange beauty.
Ao Mai Pai: Ao Mai Pai is the last bay before reaching Laem Tanoad, so the foreigners called ‘The Last Beach’. The wide beach of white and fine sand serves as a nice swimming area. Due to the distance, the place is pretty peaceful.
Laem Tanoad: Laem Tanoad is a cape at the tip of the island. It is the location of a lighthouse that serves as the best sunset view spot of Koh Lanto.
