Simple Lifestyle and Peaceful at Koh Kham Yai Location: Around 800 meters northeastward of Koh Si Chang.

How to get there: From Siracha district, board passenger boat at Charin Port to Koh Si Chang. The boat will stop at Koh Kham Yai every time before going to Koh Si Chang or returning Siracha.

Only around 30 minutes from Charin Port, you will find peace amidst the blue sea and eggshell sandy beach. This is an island with a community of approximately 40 families. Established simultaneously with Koh Si Chang community, Koh Kham Yai is like a brother of Koh Si Chang. When a traditional event is held at Koh Si Chang, people at Koh Kham Yai will always participate and cooperate promptly.

Koh Kham Yai is the largest minor island located in the northeast of Koh Si Chang.
It is charming with private atmosphere and simple lifestyle of local fisherman.

It only takes 2 to 3 hours to walk around the island. You can start from the beach at the port, which is an enjoyable swimming pool for Koh Kham Yai kids. Walk on the east, there is a stony beach or Haad Kruad.

From this beach ones could see the tree islandsnamed Koh Kham Noi, Koh Prong, and Koh Ran Dokmai clearly.

From the main port, you can also walk to the west pass Chao Mae Taptim Shrine to the shelter. This is a brilliant spot for fishing and watching sunset.

Around 100 meters northward of this shelter is Ao Sapparod, which is a very curved and cleansandy beach nice for swimming and squid fishing.

Trough Shells at Koh Kham YaiAt the back of the community is a walking path to the view spot. The walk takes only 5 minutes. This spot gives impressive scenery of sunset over Koh Si Chang.

In the morning when the tide is low, at the dam ridge in the southeast of the island, you will also see local people catching trough shells.

If you want to relax amidst the nature and peaceful ambience, or to appreciate the simplicity of an island community, Koh Kham Yai would be quite an interesting choice.

Accommodations
There are two accommodations for tourists at Koh Kham Yai. The first is in the east of the island, and the second is in the west, which are bungalows and restaurants.
